  • Go to FTP try to create folder with name “plugins” in wp-content, if its already created set permission to 755.

First of all, check whether you have a plugin directory.

Normally I would suggest using FTP to do that, but you don’t want to use FTP.

So instead, login to the control panel that your hosting company gave you. Look for a tool called something like “File manager”. Use that to check whether you have a directory at this location: wp-content/plugins.

If so, check its permissions (should be 755).

If not, create it (and give it 755 permissions).

If that doesn’t fix it, is there something unusual about your setup?

If this directory is missing, it might indicate a wider problem with the way you set up WordPress. Suggest you reinstall using WordPress Dashboard > Updates.

    Dear Jason.

There is a directory inside the wp-content directory with 755 and i can see all installed plugins in my dashboard and they are all working fine. But i can not install updates or new plugins becouse he said that he can not find the plugin directory.

If ill try to update some plugins ill will get this messaeges :
    https://postimg.org/image/pbcbca0o1/

There you can see that he also can not find the directory “languages and themes”. So it must something before this directory. Like wp-content (777).

    Best wishes
