Event Rocket 2.3 was released today.
This adds support for cross-blog event sharing via the [event_embed] shortcode. For instance, within a post on some blog on your multisite network, you can now do this:
[event_embed blog="17" limit="10"]Upto 10 upcoming events from blog #17 will then be displayed. Note that currently you must provide an accurate blog ID: using the blog name probably will not work.
Additionally, we now have a [venue_embed] shortcode to compliment [event_embed], letting you easily add a list of venues to a page or post.
Last but not least, Event Rocket previously added links for various settings tabs to the admin nav menu – this has now been removed as, sadly, it was hard/impossible to do this “the right way” without breaking too many things.
Some significant refactoring went into making this release so if things break please report them but don’t lose your hair. Remember the aim here is to experiment with new features and you can easily remove the plugin or roll back to a previous version in case of failure ??
