I’ve had CODE SNIPPET plugin for months now, but just recently (within last 2 weeks?), I get an http: 500 error (causing the white screen of death) when I activate this plugin. My live site seems fine, but trying to edit the front page, which uses snippets, causes the error. If I deactivate the plugin, I can access the front page, make changes, and then reactivate the plugin and it works fine. I’ve deactivated and/or deleted all snippets I added but the problem persists. Is this because the plugin is currently not approved for the latest wordpress version 5.3.2?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

To reiterate: Just activating the plugin (without any snippets active) causes the front page of my website to post the http:500 error and/or the WSOD.

    Hey,

Would it be possible to enable error reporting and see what sort of error message is produced?

You can see how to do so here: https://css-tricks.com/snippets/wordpress/turn-on-wordpress-error-reporting/

Shea, any ideas come to mind as to the cause?

I’ve continued to try and determine what plugins are in conflict, if any. It appears that when WP FASTEST CACHE WP By Emre Vona is activated is when CODE SNIPPETS causes the issue.

Do you know of any conflicts or settings to tweak that might resolve the conflicts?

    Thanks.

    Hi geoj,

It sounds like the combination of your caching plugin and code snippets is casing your site’s memory to max out.

I would recommend increasing the memory limit on your server if possible. You can find an article detailing how to do this here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/increasing-the-wordpress-memory-limit/

I ended up switching from wp-Fastest-Chche to a different vendor. Problem has gone away.

    Issue resolved for now!
