GET ‘First’Name into Mailchimp

    Hi,

    Ive read the post with Subject: First and Last name. .two boxes?

    Now I installed this (beautifull) plugin a few days ago, but the two boxes for first name and last name are not included yet.. Is there an estimated time on this?

    Most important for me is not the two boxes but more that when a signup enters their name (i have read this schould be the first name) the first name doesn’t appear in my mailchimp and so the first name doesn’t appear in the automatic email (ofcourse i’ve added the merge tag: *|FNAME|*)

    Is their someone who can help me to Get the ‘first’name into Mailchimp, so i can call the subsriber by name????

    Hi,

    Instead of making it 2 boxes we made it one box which automatically separates into first name and last name when the info is being submitted to Mailchimp.

    But you do need to use one of the designs that has a name field ( some have only email ).

    Hi,

    Thanks for your quick response.

    I use a template that has a name field. And I enter a first name and a last name in the box.

    But.. the firt name and last name doesn’t appear in the fieldnames in the list in Mailchimp. The the two don’t connect..
    Email adres is working fine…

    Any suggestions?

    Hi,

    Can you send over the URL to the page where the form is shown so I can check out if the functionality I mentioned is working as expected ( the fields are hidden but I can make them show up and see if they get populated ).

    Happens because there are 3 different instances of the form on the page (3 separate popups with the form). Any chance you could make that be one single popup? Should be possible to create 3 different links that open a single popup.

    I have created 3 different links that opens one single popup with the optin form. Tested and still no first and lastname in Mailchimp.

    HI. I appreciate you take the time to help me out.

    Right now i am confused.. probably i don’t understand what you meen..

    First (i read/ understood) that i schould create 3 different links for the pop-up.. I did.. and now you’re telling me that there are still 3 popups.

    Sooo I cant use 3 popups? I cant use 3 times this signup form on a page?

    Hi,

    Happy New Year, wish you all the best in 2019.

    I just tested the plugin you are using. It’s made in a way that creates a separate popup ( in the code ) for each time you add the shortcode.

    So, we’ll have to take a different approach to fixing this, I’ll make some adjustments in the plugin code and release an update today.
