Get Duplicator or BackUpBuddy!!!!

  • This plugin is advertised as fast and easy but it isn’t always and WHEN it isn’t help will be LONG in coming. The Pro version should have easily handled a 2G site but froze up mid import twice…HOURS and HOURS went by.

    I read the documentation and you can report an issue in the plugin backend –which I did twice but never got a response. I finally used Duplicator and then sent an email to All-In-One WP-NON-Migration asking for a refund.I got a brief email referring me to their NO RETURN policy and a link to their documentation. What problem are you having, they asked…this after I explained the problem THREE times.

    DUPLICATOR customer service rocks and they would give refunds I asked them AND it’s less expensive!!!!. I don’t know what the hell I was thinking.

  • wish i read this before purchasing. the “stuck on database restore” issue is a really big problem and there doesn’t seem to be a resolve.

    Really don’t want to pay for yet again another method. Going to learn Git and use WP Pusher – seems like a better solution. Learning curve yes – better productivity in the long run – I’m hoping so.

    I just used it on a 2GB file and it worked perfectly and was super quick.

    Sure, maybe it’s the server or the plugins I had. Good thing you don’t need customer service. I thnk that’s the real issue. There is no, “I apologize but the reason we don’t have any refunds is this…and how can I help you? Do you want to chat or call?”

    Instead, it’s here is the link to the legal reason we don’t have to use the golden rule and here is the documentation again.

    Just bought this plugin and the export went fine with a 2GB file but on a clean WP install the import file loaded 100% but the page hung with the notice ….” the import process with overwrite your database etc etc ….” and the Continue button is frozen.

    I did look into my FTP folders and it does seem the whole backup worked but there is nothing I can do to log back into my admin panel. Previous migration with much smaller backup files (less than 500MBs) in the past were very smooth on same server.

    Now just found out there’s no refund policy. Not happy! May have to rebuild a 50 website from scratch as this is a database upgrade from 5.1 to 5.6 mysql and old site is deleted.
