• Hey all,
Does anyone know of a way to get a wordpress multisite install to notify the network admin when a user deletes their blog?

  • Not sure about notifies, but when a user deletes their blog, it’s not really deleted.

Go to Network Admin -> Sites and it will be highlighted in light read. In other words, it will be marked as deleted, but still be able to be undone by you, the super admin. (Yes, people click the button to see what happens).

Hmm, I bet you could hook into the function that does that…

Yes I’m aware that the account is not really deleted. I’m looking for a better notification than just the pink bar. When a user install surpasses the hundreds mark it would get old checking for what users deleted their site. To take action on canceling subscriptions or other paid services.

You’re are right though I might be able to hook to the function that is making the change. I was hoping someone had already done some of the legwork.

    not that I’m aware of.

You could also do a quick DB search (or turn it into a plugin) that queries wp_blogs for the “deleted” field.
