Get 404 Only When Installing WordPress on Root

    Any idea why I can’t get WordPress to work in my root folder of my domain? I’m using Fantastico to install it and it will work if I put it in any directory other than my root. I do know I deleted the old .htaccess when attempting to follow how to switch a WordPress to a different domain, which I gave up on and than just uninstalled WordPress.

    I had to login to my server via FTP and find the .fantasticodata folder. Than delete installed_in_root.php and it worked golden.
