• When I log out from my site after automatically upgrading to 3.6.1 I get a captcha request (Have no captcha plugin installed)
After typing in captcha, i get 403 Forbidden message: “You don’t have permission to access /wp-login.php on this server.” When I reload my site I am still logged in.

    I NEED TO LOG OUT!

  • There’s a few things to check. First, check your .htaccess file. If you see some rules such as “deny from all”, etc., you will want to comment them out. If all else fails with it, try renaming the .htaccess file to something like .htaccess.old which will make it inactive.

The second thing to check is your file permissions. Depending on your server configuration, this should be something like 755 or 644. I recommend 644.

Does your webhost have any security measures in place to limit access to the WordPress admin?
