    Looking at this…more later.

Fixed in version 1.11 (available now via Updates).

Wasn’t really an umlat problem. Original code was only looking for amazon.com. Changed so that it will look for any Amazon link (amazon.de, etc).

    Thanks for using!

    Hi,
I patched the support for .de-amazon links by myself so this wasn’t a problem.
But the problem with umlauts within links still exists. ??

    Best regards

Hmm…I tried the link you sent with the new version, and it worked OK. Perhaps the encoded-URL in your example – as rendered by the support page – made it work.

I’ll do some more testing this weekend with a URL that I create ‘off-line’.

Version 1.12 (just uploaded, should appear in your updates) should fix the problem.

The issue was with the regex used to extract URLs from the text; URLs with umlauts were not being extracted. Version 1.12 has a better regex that (per my testing) finds URLs with umlauts.

Version 1.11 (prior version) fixed the problem with not finding non-‘.com’ Amazon TLD links.

Let me know if 1.12 works better for your links. Thanks for your patience in this.

    Hi there,

sorry, I was on vacation a few days.
Plugin is working much better now!

    Thanks!

Thanks for the update! Glad it is working for you. Made a few minor updates to the plugin since then (like a check for a valid Bit.ly API key if you want to do URL shortening).

I’ve marked this issue as resolved. If you get time, a review would be helpful.

    Thanks again!
