German translation doesn't work

Hello and thanks for taking a look at this thread!
We have an issue with this plugin on our soon to be finished website:
German translation doesn’t work, even though language is set to Deutsch from WP settings page, and translation doesn’t work both on back-end and front-end.
I’ve tried:
#1 – define (‘WPLANG’, ‘de_DE’) inside wp-config.php(even though it’s not needed anymore).
#2 – JavaScript from this page:
https://www.addtoany.com/buttons/customize/wordpress/translation_localization
Any ideas? ??
