    Hey there,

    short and simple thing.

The plugin works fine and it’s translated in German. I wanted to change some things in the translation. I’ve downloaded the following .po & .mo files:

    the-events-calendar-de_DE.mo
    the-events-calendar-de_DE.po

I’v edited them to my needs, saved them and re-uploaded them to the “lang”-folder. But the changes I’ve made are ignored. Nothing changes on the frontend.

Can somebody help me out on this one?

    Regards
    Malte

I use Loco translation plug-in. It’s very simple

And that’s exactly what I don’t want to do – litter up my site with more and more plugins. In this case to translate 4 or 5 terms?

I’ve translated the files with a tool that comes from the Loco translate developers, difference is that it is an online tool to edit the .po and .mo-files. I did it for my theme, for woocommerce and more – worked fine every time. But not with the evetns-calendar plugin.

    So any other suggestion?

perhaps these words are not in the EventsCal po-files, but in the Theme ones?

and lifehack – Loco-plugin can be installed at during of editing the translation. If the translation succeed the plugin can be removed.

    Hi @chezzone,

It may be that you need to overwrite the translations files found in the following location:

    wp-content/languages/plugins

(Rather than inside the plugin directory itself.) Does that help?
