    Hello there,

We have noticed that Geolocation seems to be showing different prices sporadically. Sometimes it will show as $ or € on the landing page for the products, and other days it will show $ or € on the actual product pages. And it will only affect a few of the pages, not all at once. This should be showing as £ throughout for people based within the UK.

We have tried updating the plugin, but not sure what else we can change to force this to stay the same throughout the site.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Deanna

    Hi,
this type of issue is usually related to cache, are you using some cache plugin?
You can solve the issue enabled the option “Load product price in background”:

    Hey Oscar,

Thanks for the advice on caching, we believe it’s to do with another plugin we’re using. We have made it ignore the pages with prices and it seems to have resolved the issue.

However, when following the instructions in the link you provided this actually broke the prices for us. Just so you’re aware for the future, this could cause issues for others.

    Thanks,
    Deanna

    Hi,
    thanks for the feedback! ??

    Hi Oscar,

Thank you for the great plugin you’ve developed and it really made my life easier. I’m writing this to let you know that I’m facing a similar issue that Deanna is facing.

The prices on my home page are showing in $(USD) for the customers in India or out side USA. However, the prices are showing correct when the customers add the product to cart or proceed to checkout. Please help!

    This is my website: https://12ocake.com

P.S: I’m not using any cache related plugins

    Thanks,
    Ratna

    Hi @ratnakireeti,
I checked your site. In the checkout page, the country of the shipping address is always India and the country of the billing address is always United States.

It seems that something is overwriting the WooCommerce Geolocation. Did you enable the Geolocation?

Did you set Price Based on Billing Country or Shipping Country?

Hi @oscargare, thank you for your response. Yes, I have enabled geolocation and MaxMind GeoIP database. I set price based on Customer billing country.

Also, please see attached images for my WooCommerce settings. I’m selling to all countries and shipping to specific countries only which is India. I’ve forced the shipping location to India which should not impact me since I’m setting price based on customer billing address.

Not sure what I’m missing. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

I think I figured out what the issue is. The default billing address state and country are set to store address country and state which is United States. And that is the reason, the visitors from other countries are seeing the prices in USD.

Any idea how I can avoid setting store address as billing address?

    Thanks,
    Ratna
