Do you mean the automatic location sensor? Pro Pack adds that feature.
The GPS coordinates the plugin assigns to locations comes from the Google Mapping API V3 provided for free API accounts (unless you have paid for an OEM license and entered your registered client ID and key in general settings).
Google purposefully keeps outdated and errant data in the public free API (and paid API for that matter). They admitted this is the case but cannot give a valid explanation as to why.
You can edit lat/long for any location in the DB. I often use OSM and GetLatLong to validate addresses Google locates incorrectly.
I do not read the support forum here very often.

You can also submit questions via email using the contact form at StoreLocatorPlus.com, but I prefer you use the forums. It helps others find answers to similar questions and keeps my inbox from overflowing. The forums are also answered by several people which means you are not waiting days for a personal response from one of the core Store Locator Plus customer service people.
