Geographic pane has no results

    The Pages and Referrers page work great and show me lots of data. However, the Geographic page only has a blank map. Is there something I need to allow or enable?

    Hi there,

    Thanks for getting in touch about this.

    When this happens, it usually means the geo-IP database didn’t get installed properly. This can happen because of server permissions, but it is easy to install manually instead.

    You can download the file from here: download geo-IP database

    You’ll get a file called iawp-geo-db.zip that you can upload to the following location on your server: wordpress/wp-content/uploads/

    If you see the zip file is already there, this means the server had trouble unzipping it. In this case, you can simply unzip it instead of uploading a new copy.

    Once uploaded and unzipped, your visitors’ geolocation will be tracked.

    Many thanks Ben. In my instance the ZIP file was already there but not unzipped. I unzipped it and confirmed it is now working. I assume I can delete the original ZIP file.

    Awesome, glad to hear that! Yes, you can delete the zip file now that the “mmdb” file has been extracted.
