Geocode not working

    I added a new entry to my directory, and the geocode is not working. It does not automatically create the Lat/Lon coordinates for the address, when I save, and when I click the “geocode” button, it opens a grey map and I get the spinner and it doesn’t actually do anything. For this instance, I created the Lat/Lon by hand and entered it into the boxes as a workaround. How do I fix this going forward?

    I am using the latest version of the plugin (10.4.65) and the CMap template (5.6), with the Avada theme (7.11.9) and the latest WP (6.6.1).

    Which service are you using for geocoding, the free OpenStreetMap (OSM) used by default, or the Google Maps API used only after creating and entering the API key?

    The default — I have not done anything involving the Google Maps API key.

    I just tried an address on a third-party site I have access to using Connections and it seemed to function correctly.

    Can you please try setting up the Google Maps API key to see if that resolves the issue.
