    Hello,
Your plugin works great, allowing the teachers from our NGO to register their school location upon registration. (asso.parlemonde.org)
Indeed if I browse to the extended profile of all users, I can track back their adress..
I already use MapsMarker Pro as a map service ; I’d like to automatize the transfer of geolocalization data in between your two plugins.
Unfortunately, digging into the wp_usermeta table, I see that geocode is only written for about 1/3 of the registered user (meta_key = geocode_6 in my case) !?
Which I don’t get, since I can ‘see’ their adress looking at their extended profile.
Any idea where these ‘missing’ geocode could be??
    Thanks in advance!

    Cheers,

Just because you can see the address does not mean that the Google API was able to provide lat / lng coords.

If your users are simply typing in the address and then doing a save, that will not work.
They need to start typing and then select one of the complete and verified addresses that Google provides in the dropdown.
Otherwise, a call is not made to Google and therefore the lat / lng coords are not returned.

A few other people have had this issue – we tried several approaches to force users to make a selection from the dropdown. Unfortunately, while we could force them to make a selection, there were other side effects that created a potentially very confusing UX.

So the only usable solution was adding a note in the field description that alerted the user to the fact that they have to made a selection if they want to appear on the map.

    Hello,
    Ok, that makes sense.
Just for the record, I find it quite surprising (and a bit depressing) that 2/3 of the users do not select an adress!
    Thanks for your explanation!
    Best,

It Still not Saving even we click the address and i am not able to see any thing related to lat and long in user_meta table
