Geo-Location IP range add

    Good day IQ Block Country Support,

    We’re a South African ISP that is launching a new network with a new IP range. This range is currently being identified by IQ Block Country as an American IP instead of South African.

    Kindly add the following IP range as a South African located IP:
    169.0.0.0/15
    IP address: 169.0.0.0
    Decimal: 2835349504
    Class: B
    Netmask: 255.254.0.0
    Prefix: 15
    Network: 169.0.0.0
    Wildcard: 0.1.255.255
    Broadcast: 169.1.255.255
    IP count: 131072
    Host count: 131070
    Host min: 169.0.0.1
    Host max: 169.1.255.254

    Hi Gary,

    Not in my database it’s not:

    IP Adress 169.0.1.1 belongs to South Africa.

    If other IP addresses in that range are not okay right now you’ll probably have to wait till MaxMind updates their database and ofcourse always keep your local databases up to date.

    Thanks for the feedback.

    We have tested again and still found that 169.0.72.183 was being picked up as a USA located IP.

    We will wait for MaxMind to update their database and also ensure ours is constantly up to date.

    I’m afraid to report we are still being blocked by IQ Block Country plugin as a US based IP.

    Is there any way we, or yourself, can have this updated with Maxmind?

    Although with my databases even that IP address is correct:

    IP Adress 169.0.72.183 belongs to South Africa.
