• I am using the plugin “Geolocation Detector for Gravity Forms” which shows the country for the user and this plugin is depended on GEOIp detection plugin. But I cant get the country of the user.

I have also tried to add the shortcode in demo post, but with no luck.I am getting blank field in city and country also.

Can you please help me on same?

The shortcode only works in Contact Form 7 and in normal posts/pages.

The gravity plugin is using the old shortcode, the new shortcode syntax is: [geoip_detect2 property="country.name"]. (But if the gravity plugin doesn’t work you need to contact this developer)

Maybe you are behind a reverse proxy. Put [geoip_detect2_get_client_ip] – is it a local ip adress or a public one?

Thanks for the reply. After adding the new shortcode [geoip_detect2 property=”country.name”] also I cant get the country code.

I have used the same shortcode in normal post too but thats also not showing the country

But when I put [geoip_detect2_get_client_ip] I am getting public IP.

Does the test lookup work? Which data source are you using?
