GenkiTheme and floating tabs problem

The sitemap is supposed to be viewed by clicking on the floating, left tab. It’s not. When I create the page as per those directions it just creates a regular new page. Even there, the sitemap doesn’t show up.
Apparently I’m missing something. Any ideas?
