Generic Question — number of log in attempts

    Basically, “Allowed login attempts before blocking IP” is set to 20.

    Does this mean, ANY attempt after 20, let it be mis-login attempt over a period of say three years, the person is locked out?

    I’ve mis-logged in on Facebook at least a few dozen times in my life time…I would hate to be banned / blocked, because I’m an idiot with a fat finger…

    Question: how often is this reset: “Allowed login attempts before blocking IP” ?

    Hi,

    Thanks for your post.

    At the plugin settings page you can set the “minutes before resetting the login attempts count” (default is 60). The count will also reset after each successful login.
