Hi, we have created a car rental website and we are using your plugin.

Reviewing errors in semrush and screaming frog SEO we see that there are pages that are created every time you generate a purchase / booking of the vehicle, these urls are generating hreflang conflicts and generates thousands of urls with parameters and canonicals canonicalizada errors. An example of this are these urls.

Could there be a solution to this problem?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

Thanks for you message. We understand the situation, and both our plugins VikRentCar and VikRentItems should automatically attach some meta-data to the document for no-indexing the “Order Details” page. Such meta-data instructions could also be managed through any SEF plugin for WordPress, because the related “Order Details” Shortcode will generate at least one page/post for your WordPress website.

This type of page should definitely be excluded from any Site Map, especially because it won’t work without the dynamically passed query string parameters to identify an exact rental order. Moreover, this type of Shortcode/page is needed in order to properly route the users to their booking details page, and it’s also used for the automated email and cron-job notifications when sending a message to a customer for their booking.

    We hope this helps!

    Hello,

Thank you for your reply, we use Yoas SEO, the pages that we comment with parameters are not indexed in the site map.

But if they are crawlable by Google BOT, since google search console detects the URLs with parameters, thus creating url in google search console in the section of crawled but not indexed, the url type https://scooterandbikerental.com/es/alquiler-patinetes/xiaomi-mi-pro/?dt=1717286400 or https://scooterandbikerental.com/de/fahrrader/mtb-fahrrad-275/?view=itemdetails&elemid=13&dt=1707868800
What we want to know is if there is any way to prevent google from crawling or discovering this url.

    Hello,

If the order details URL is not included in any of your site maps, then discovering those URLs should only be possible if the BOT created a rental order, which requires several forms and dynamic values to be reached. This is quite unlikely to happen. Also, the raw/plain URL structure would contain view=order in case no Shortcodes of type “Order Details” have been configured in our plugin.

Moreover, the “noindex” metadata attached to the document (either automatically or by using your preferred SEF plugin) should prevent any BOT from crawling and indexing such URLs.
