    Hello,

I am not sure what is going on but my users and potential members aren’t able to register or log in. After looking into this with the Hosting provider it seems that the plugin is creating a “AIOWPS_LOGIN_WHITELIST_START” entry in the htaacess file which is creating this problems. It is listing 2 ip’s, mine and the hosting company’s.

Apparently the plugin is making an exception and i was told by the tech “You cant make an exception to it by adding the domain in there as the people accessing access it though their own IP. Most likely the plugin is creating the issue.”

What is going on and how to fix this? Thanks

No, i have never had any problems logging in but my users and others are experiencing 403 errors when they clink on the registration or the login page.

The hosting company deleted the htacess file with that rule and after that the 403 errors stopped and the member could register, but i was told that this problem could happen again and asked to get in touch with you.

If i enable the whitelist feature does it make a rule thatevery other IP does not get to see the pages I see with that rule as I have specifically restricted access to any log in page with the exception to my IP?

Is it restricting wp-login for others in some way?

    Hi,

If the login whitelist feature is enabled, then your IP address must always be listed in the whitelist settings otherwise you will not be able to access the login page from an IP address which is not white listed.

If you disable the login whitelist feature then your IP address will not be restricted from accessing the login page. This rule applies to all who log in or register in your site.

Let me know if the above makes sense.

    Kind regards

Thanks but like i said i have no problems logging in but others/memebers are having problems registering and logging in wherein when they are clicking on the links its taking them to the 403 page. Like i said this has already been verified by the hosting provider. I was advised to familiarize myself on what rule it is that is creating this problem and to avoid it.

This problem has happened in both cases wherein the feature has been enabled and disabled.

Hi, if you have not enabled Whitelisting in our plugin then something else is blocking the login or registering by others in your site.

Try the following disable all firewall rules. Then carry out a test. Let me know what happens.

    Regars

    Hi,

I will be going with another plugin but might come back to yours since i liked it. I hope you will look into this problem and i was wrong earlier, it did lock me out couple of times that i had missed. It could be that i am not etch savvy or it could be anything, in any case thank you for your prompt response and i want to say that apart from these hiccups the plugin does it work well.
