    Hi,

I have installed The Events Calendar plugin. I will try to style my pages with Generateblocks. Is tried the query loop block on a page. In the query loop, I can select events of the Events Calendar plugin. From the dynamic data, I can show the featured image, the title. Is it also possible to show the event date and time form some kind of dynamic data ?

Is there a tutorial or documentation how to do so ?

If it isn’t possible, is there another way to construct calendar feautures? E.g. by adding a custom field with the event date? Is there a tutorial how to do so?

    Thanks !

    Frans

    Hi @fjvanittersum ,

GB’s block can pull post meta dynamically, if you can get the post meta field slug from the plugin’s support, you should be able to pull them via GB’s blocks.

For example, you can add a headline block, and enable the dynamic data for it, select post meta as content source, then enter the post meta field slug, it’s very simple ??

Thanks contacting me. I didn’t answer, because I was studying on The Event Calendar (TEC). It would be nice to use GenerateBlocks for styling Event Calender posts. TEC stores regulars post fields (title, featured image) but also additional information in separate tables in the WP database: wp-tec-events and wp-tec-occurrences. The stored info concerns the date + time of an event. This info is not stored in the wp-terms table.

I was wondering if GenerateBlocks blocks can show info from these two tables: wp-tec-events and wp-tec-occurrences.

    Thanks !

    Hi there,

GB can only return data from core functions or post meta. It doesn’t know of 3rd party tables to reference.

That would require some kind of custom development.
