• Hi,

Is it possible to generate PDF:s based on dynamic content of pages.
…or is this only for submissions from forms?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

If you mean render content that changes dynamicaly on page depending on some kind of URL filters, javascript – unfortunately no.

E2Pdf can parse only content that is set as post content. Also you must keep in mind that E2Pdf doesn’t support CSS that applied to page (only inline and if “style” is supported) + complex HTML structure if it will be used along with E2Pdf HTML Object inside E2Pdf Template. The best way to understand if it will fit your needs is to test with free version which doesn’t have functionality limitations except limit of activated templates and number of pages that can be used inside template.

Here is some documentation on usage with WordPress pages/posts:

Thank you for your quick replay, it looks great!

Is there any way to make the PDF support more basic inline HTML/css styling?

Is there a limit on how much content is included for a page, with the free version? …it seems to be cut off now.

    Thanks!

Unfortunately it can’t be improved somehow from your side. We are continuosly working on extending its support however some things can take some time due the complex of task. You can post feature request on our “Help Desk” so we can review the possibility to add needed CSS/HTML support here: https://e2pdf.com/support/desk/feature-requests.

As about limit, there are no limits, however it could be that generated content overflowed created “HTML” block as E2Pdf works with “static” elements and it can’t make page / html block bigger automatically. You can try to make page size bigger on E2Pdf creation or by going to page options by clicking on “gear” icon over page and change “height” setting with increasing size of “HTML” block to see if it correctly renders data.

With “premium” version it’s possible also to move content to other pages with “Splitting content over pages” feature. “HTML” block can continue content from “parent” block as it showed in this video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZNxz_JZ3d0&t=79s
