    Hi There!
    Ive been considering your professional version of your plugin for sometime and one of my biggest questions is generating credit notes. From what I’ve heard and read through your documentation; credit notes can only be generated when an order is marked as “refunded”. However, in some cases, orders are cancelled due to time limits expiring on my end – yet invoices are made. I need to know if the pro version will allow me to generate a credit note for “Cancelled” orders and not only refunded orders. If not, is there a way to stop invoices being made for orders that are not 100% complete. As it stands, invoices are generated before payment is even confirmed.

    There are two ways to prevent an invoice from being created before payment:

    1) Email attachment settings
    If you only attach the invoice to the Completed order, it will not be (automatically) generated until that email is sent – i.e. the order is actually completed. If it generates immediately before payment, it’s quite likely that you are currently attaching it to the “New Order” admin email, which is always sent regardless of order status.

    2) “Disabe for” setting
    To prevent invoices from being created altogether (including the manual methods), you can select order statuses in the “Disable for” setting under Documents > Invoice

    Out of the box, our Professional extension indeed only creates invoices for refunded orders (since these are actual separate orders in WooCommerce and thus a more reliable data source), but if you need to create them for cancelled orders too we can provide a small addon that works with the Professional extension that implements that. I would still recommend the preventive approach because it saves you all the trouble of having to generate the credit notes in the first place. if you have further questions about this, please send an email to [email protected], because www.remarpro.com does not allow us to use these forums for supporting our paid extensions.
