‘General’ tab does not load contents (Error 500)

    • As admin
    • at URL: website//wp-admin/index.php?page=mpsum-update-options&tab=general
    • The other ‘Easy Updates Manager’ ‘tabs’ work, except for ‘General’ which produces a 500 internal Error (URL: /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=eum_axios_ajax)
    • Tests:
      • Firewall turned off – no difference
      • ajax.php has correct 644 permissions
      • /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php works – but gives a blank page with 2 words: “Security check” for /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=eum_axios_ajax

    Question: Any suggestions how to investigate? Thanks!

  • I have this problem too, I tried downloading the tweaked version provided by vupdraft? but it didn’t help.

    Can you post your php error logs using as tool such as pastebin.com?

    Hi,

    Apologies, could I have the URL to the paste?

    I am happy to advise that I solved this issue on my wordpress instance.
    Note there were other signs of issues with my wordpress instance i.e. the button to add new themes was missing with other plugins like updraft plus where the tabs to configure remote storage weren’t working.

    I am not sure which of the following fixed it, but most likely reinstalling the site ssl cert (which was showing issues)
    – reinstalling my ssl cert
    – switching php versions
    – attempting to enable php debug

    Hope this helps someone else.

    I suspect it was the SSL certificate. I know that Updraft requires this for many of it’s functions.
