general redirect question

Hello John,
I am wondering if you can give me a pointer.
When searching on our site for asdfasdf it shows nothing found, as it should
When using a post URL that is no longer active it redirects, why?
example:
https://www.teawea.com/asdfasdf
then it does a Automated search and redirect to
https://www.teawea.com/?s=asdfasdf&search_404=1Why? Who does that?
