General Question – Installing WP on your computer

This is my first time installing WP on my localhost.

I looked at This page for reference.

What are the main differences between using

1. Microsoft’s install (https://www.microsoft.com/web/gallery/wordpress.aspx)

2. Turnkey (https://www.turnkeylinux.org/wordpress)

3. Virtual Box (https://www.virtualbox.org/)

Any thoughts?

I basically want run WP on my computer for testing code/plugins/etc.
