General Plugins Question

COME ON….somebody knows the answer to this. Here’s the directions from the README file.

1. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress

DONE.

1. Be sure to check the option page (available from the ‘Options’ > ‘Flexible Upload’ menu)

I am not seeing the Flexible Upload Menu or Options.

1. A detailed explanation of each feature is available in the local help page (link at the top of the option page)

Again, the Option page. ???

Where the options will appear depends on the plugin. What plugin are you talking about and what version of WP are you using?

Plugin – Flexible Upload
WP Version – 2.7

Look in your Settings tab.

Also, note that plugin hasn’t been tested with 2.7

Thank you….I’m wondering if there is an easier way to do this.

All I wish to do is insert a thumbnail image into a page that has the option “Click to view larger”.

I’m thinking this should be fairly normal and simple to do, but I have been searching for the how to with no luck.

Right now when I upload an image into a page, that’s it. Just a thumbnail.

Any ideas?? PLEASE??

Why don’t you just type “Click to view larger Image” under the thumbnail or enter that text as the caption? Like here:

The reason this was confusing is:

WP used to call it “Options”

WP changed it to “Settings”. (And added “Tools” in WP 2.7)

For some reason WP has the habit of changing menu names and Admin area navigation, when there’s a new version of WP. Every time they do this, it confuses the older documentation and help files. I kind of wish they would stick to ordinary naming conventions and stay consistent.

Another example is the Themes menu area, which has been called… Design, Appearance, Layout, Theme, etc… and the Links menu area, which has been called Blogroll or Links.
