GDPR removes scroll bar from all website pages

I could not replicate the issue. Not even on your site.

Can you explain to me step by step how to see this issue?

So… This should only happen if you don’t have the privacy-policy consent and you are logged in.

You should be seeing a white screen with your privacy policy in it.
It has a class of gdpr-reconsent-modal.

I’m not sure why this isn’t in your markup. Did you remove it somehow?

Ok. Well, I use the TML (Theme My Login) plugin and it doesn’t have a GDPR consent thing in it. Should I add it in? If so, how?

I have no idea how that plugin works. I provided ways for users to add the consent checkboxes to their registration pages using PHP.

But that is not really the issue here. The issue is that the reconsent modal that holds the privacy policy isn’t loading on your page. I wonder if you disabled that somehow.

The only way the plugin doesn’t load this is if you don’t pick a privacy policy page. Is that the case?

I am having the same issue. And indeed, I do not have a policy yet. That is why I installed the plugin in the first place. I am working towards GDPR complyance.

I am also not going to create a dummy policy just to get the scroll bar to work.

I suggest that you get your policies ready or at least a first draft before using the plugin.

If possible, I also recommend using a staging server to set everything up. Ensure everything works as expected and then moving over to your production server.

you speak wise words. But I still think even a sloppy admin like me should not get a malfunctioning website due to (my) lagging compliance to GDPR.

My first thought was to give the plugin a 4-star review until this is fixed, but I am going to put up a temporary policy, informing my users we are working on the GDPR. So I will no longer be able to check whether this has been fixed.

So I trust it will be fixed and I will award it a 5-star review right now. It is helping me a lot and you are very responsive to support requests. WTG!

And you are right. This was an unexpected side effect. I already pushed a fixed in the latest version. If you update this should not be a problem anymore.
