GDPR: Opt-in checkbox is checked by default

Thanks for the plugin.
I have “Subscribe Customers” set to “Ask for permission”, which adds an opt-in checkbox to the checkout form. This checkbox is checked by default.
To be GDPR-compliant (the new legislation will apply from May 25th), I need this checkbox to be unchecked by default.
As many users will be affected, will there be an update to address this?

You can change the checkbox default state to “Unchecked” in the plugin settings.
