    Hi,

We are going through an audit of all our plugins for upcoming GDPR and we are trying to find out what cookies your plugin might use?

And what if there is any would they be collecting or tracking? As we will need to add them to our privacy page and allow ‘Optin’ and ‘Optout’

I presume because it is an admin plugin there is nothing tracking?

    Many thanks

  • Assuming you haven’t done it already:

Have a look at the site with Firefox with the plugin enabled

From the Firefox menu Tools > Web Developer > Storage Inspector

Make a note of the cookies

Close the Web Developer view and disable the plugin

Open the Web Developer tool and examine the cookie list again with the Storage Inspector

Note any differences in the list if any – these will be the cookies the plugin uses.

    Hi wood1e,

WooSidebars doesn’t make use of cookies. All logic is handled on the back-end, by design, with no cookies or sessions specific to the logged in user.
