    Hey There!
You may have heard from something called the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) that is n force for every company that collects data from individuals that live in the european union.

    1. Since I now need to be sure which of our wordpress plugins collect data and which do not and which give the collected data to third-party servers. So I have to ask:
does the plugin collect any personal data from the user? (Names, Email Adresses, IP Adresses, Credit Card Numbers, Images etc)
    2. And if so, what personal data gets collected?
    3. What happens with the collected data?
    4. Do they get send to another server, is it stored?
    5. How long is it stored?

I would be really grateful, if you could answer these questions so I could be sure, your plugin is compliant with the GDPR Law.
Thank you very much in advance!

    Have a good day,
    Nicola

    Hi Nicola,

We’re working on preparing guidance for all of our plugins and that should be available in the near future.

To the best of my knowledge there are no concerns in the case of Image Widget (it’s a very simple plugin, after all), but if you can wait until the team completes their audit that would be ideal.
