    Hi,

Not sure why you think it is not permitted, but if you do not want that file to be loaded you will need to use our paid version.

    Thanks! ??

I see. Here is the reason why it is not permitted and I have clients that have been fined for loading Google Fonts via Google Servers. They must be loaded locally in Europe https://www.theregister.com/2022/01/31/website_fine_google_fonts_gdpr/

    Hi,

I find it ridiculous. I see it is about fonts, but if you use Google Translate service, Google obviously will have the client IP address, so the same can be said that you cannot simply use any Google services.

If you use our paid version, GTranslate Inc. will have the visitor IP address, when they are visiting the translated page.

I do not know the specifics of the case, but I think it has some specific details which the article does not cover.

I prefer to not comment about it any further, as it is a legal matter.

    Thanks! ??

Oh I agree with you. It is ridicules but welcome to Europe. Take any site using Google Fonts loaded from Google Servers and send them through a Google Fonts checker and you will get warnings. The article I did link here is just a random one, the first coming up doing a quick Google Search. There have been hundreds, maybe thousands of website owners, especially in Germany and Austria being fined last year. Check out the section about user privacy in this tool https://fontsplugin.com/google-fonts-checker/
