    Hi,

thank you for this cool plugin.
We are currently going through an audit of all our plugins for upcoming GDPR and we are trying to find out what data your plugin is collecting.
Is it placing cookies or using tracking features?
If yes, what data is collected and for what purpose?

    Many thanks

TL; DR : Yes, the plugin is GDPR compliant.

From the website visitors point of view, the plugin is transparent. It is as if the website administrator had setup the favicon (files, HTML code…) manually. So no cookies and no tracking features.

From the website administrator (probably you or a colleague), the plugin stores information locally, in your WordPress instance. In particular, it stores your favicon settings in order to re-generate your icons in case of service update. When generating your icons for the first time or manually updating them, the service itself stores no personal data (your images are deleted afterward), and Google Analytics is triggered (which is GDPR compliant). When your icons are re-generated automatically, this is the same process, but without Google Analytics.
