GDPR compliance

Just to follow up on this, for GDPR purposes it would be very help to have an auto-delete option for logs, allowing them to be stored temporarily (for security, verification etc) but then automatically deleted from the database after a user-configured time period (specified in number of days or months).

I think not actually logging the IP would be enough but necessary – any updated from the Devs to be expected soon? ??

We are taking actions to offer our users to stop collecting privacy-sensitive data. Currently, our plugin stores some data in its logs when a user downloads a file. You, as the website owner, can already completely disable the logs. By doing so, Download Monitor will no longer track any privacy-sensitive data but you will also lose the logs and statistics. We are working on adding an option that will keep logging download requests but without the IP address and other privacy-sensitive data
