• Hi @dfactory,

Could you please tell me what do you exactly mean with “GDPR compatibility with Cookie Notice plugin”?
Does that mean that the counter only works, if the user accept cookies (pressing the OK button on the notice bar)?
If yes: how can I change this? With the setting “Strict counts”?

    Regards
    Patrick

Patrick, that means that you have Cookie Notice enabled the counter will not set cookies before user accepts the notice. These cookies are used to limit number of views collected per post / per user based on your prefferences (as set in PVC settings). In that scenario each pageview will be counted whether you want it or not.

Strict counts option adds another layer of checks (not based on cookies) whether user visited a specific post or not but same as with cookies it’s related to user cookies consent and GDPR regulations.

    Hi @dfactory!

Thanks a lot for your exact declaration.

Is there any way to bypass the check if Cookie Notice plugin is enabled?
I like Cookie Notice very much and it’s really helpful to fulfil GDPR regulations.
But I don’t want to be more Catholic than the Pope ?? (I understand the risk, that GDPR is not completely fulfilled with a bypass)

    Regards
    Patrick
