GDPR – Borlabs Cookie Plugin Compatibility

  • Hello,
    on the Borlabs Website there is a mention that your plugin is compatible with Borlabs GDPR; unfortunately i cant find anything in the settings, as well as no mention on how to integrate and/or block the map from loading via Borlabs.

    do you have any info or documentation for this?

    a bit time passed by. But maybe you are still interested…

    I use WP Google Map Plugin with Borlabs Cookie Plugin and want to help you out:

    I even struggled a bit to got it working – i hope i remembere it correct what you need to do:

    Settings to check in Borlabs Cookie Plugin

    1. Cookies: activate Google Maps toggle
    2. Content Blocker: activate Google Maps toggle
    3. Script Blocker: add a new one with ID: gmap and let it search for google-maps-builder-gmaps
    4. accept and save
    5. Then add the Shortcode with Borlabs Cookie Shortcode wrapped: liek this: [borlabs-cookie id="googlemaps" type="content-blocker"][put_wpgm id=1][/borlabs-cookie]

    Now it should block the Map and enable it if external media is accepted: see https://bestcarwash.de/ for an working example.
