    Is this GDPR compliant?

    Does this use cookies?

If this uses cookies, can the script/cookie be placed and used after acceptance, like the Cookie Notice plugin has the option for it?

Is this a lightweight plugin (i.e. how much do these popups slow down sites)?

  • Dear @kevin-rape,

Our popups are GDPR compliant, and we provide GDPR checkboxes for the Subscription and Contact form popup types.
Could you, please, clarify which popup types are you interested in?

And yes, this is a lightweight plugin, it doesn’t affect the site speed noticeably.

    Hi

How Do I turn on the Checkboxes for the mailchimp form type. It is enabled in mailchimp as GDPR compliant but the popup form has no checkboxes.

    Dear @itaddict,

The GDPR fields are shown in the confirmation email.
You should add it when you create your list in MailChimp and generate it into our plugin, via API key.
This way, if the “Double optin ” option is enabled the user will receive a confirmation email, where they can manage their personal data with “manage preferences” option.

    Hello

Thank you for that. Unfortunately, that is not how GDPR works. The explicit permission has to be sought before collecting the details otherwise we can get a hefty fine. The checkboxes HAVE TO BE at the point of entry and before submit.

    Dear @itaddict,

The field generating process is a little bit different in our plugin.
And as MailChimp is one of our PRO extensions, we should continue the conversation privately, this forum is for our Free users.
Here’s our support email address: [email protected]

We’ll be happy to answer all your questions!
