    Hi

My site is using your plugin.
In relation to a cookie audit, and GDPR compliance check, can you please confirm the following:

    – Does your plugin place any functional or analytical cookies (please provide details)?
    – Which country is your plugin hosted, and what data is passed through your service from my website?
    – As your plugin would be regarded as a 3rd party to my website and business, if we are subject to an information request or other ICO request, are you able to provide relevant information from your system?
    – Are there any other systems or businesses involved in providing your plugin or making it function (perhaps via an API)?

    Thank you for your assistance.

    Hi,

    Please find my response below:

If you are using our paid version the information is available here: https://gtranslate.io/terms

If you are using our free version, here are the answers:

    1. The plugin sets “googtrans” cookie to save the current selected language information. No other cookies are being set.

    2. Some javascript, css, images are hosted on Google CDN (USA or other countries depending of the visitor location), some are hosted on your own server. In order to translate the text, your website’s visible text is transferred to Google Translate service for translation.

    3. It is all hosted by Google or your own server, for free version we keep no information about your website, you or your website content. We do not even know if you are using our plugin or not. You should refer to Google Translate terms of service for more information about this.

    4. Google

    Thanks! ??
