GDPR?

Smush will auto add that section to the WP privacy policy. You can edit it to your liking. In short – it is 100% GDPR ready, as it does not directly interact with the users private data.

thank you for the answer. I deleted the privacy policy page on my website so it didnt get added. Could you link me to the text i could insert the privacy policy? In german and in english?

Please go to Settings -> Privacy and there click the link ” Check out our guide”. You will be redirected where you can find the Privacy Policy guide and at the bottom of the page, you will find information about Smush. You can copy it from there.

thank you for your answer. In the last section you talk about the Stackpath CDN, which may store web log information of site visitors, including IPs etc. Honestly..this does not seem GDPR conform for me. Do I understand this sentence wrong?

Smush CDN is not available in the Free version of the plugin. So you should not worry about Stackpath.

And even if it was, Smush does not store any personal data of visitors. Unfortunately, I cannot speak on behalf of Stackpath. I do believe that they are GDPR compliant. But if you feel that their privacy policy is in violation of some rules that apply in your country, you can choose not to use Smush CDN at all or discuss the implications of using their CDN with a support representative from Stackpath.

In any case, you are using the Free version of Smush, which does not have the CDN feature ??
