• I am using the lastest edition of WordPress. When I first installed the “GD Star Rating Plugin” within a few days the ratings snippets or “5 stars” were showing below my site pages in Google searches. However, after I made an update to my homepage the rating snippets disappeared from Google search results. Is this normal? When I update posts or pages is there anyway to keep the rating “5 star” feature in search results? Or does it get reset? Can I force it to reappear? Perhaps by uninstalling then re-installing plugin or something?

How do I get my GD Star Rating to reappear on updated search pages in Google? Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

  • You can’t do it unless Google decides to show it. There is no information available how and why Google does that. From plugin part, in 1.9.14 few changes are added to bring snippet code up to changes Google made recently, and snippet is 100% valid, but Google can still decide not to show it.

Thank you for your reply and your time, Milan.

If I was to delete it and then re-install it? Do you think that would make it show up? Only reason I ask is that I recently installed “GD Star Rating” on another site and it showed up almost immediately in search results.

But hopefully changes will be made to update more frequently.
