    Hello,

    we are having an issue almost every day with some transactions being declined.
    We had over 13 declined transactions in this month only with the same error:

    Status: Gateway Rejected
    Gateway Rejection Reason: 3D Secure

    Exemption Requested: Transaction Risk Analysis
    Merchant Requested SCA exemption: false

    Customers don’t even get an iframe from their bank to confirm the payment.

    Before using this plugin we used another plugin where there were no issues with declined transactions with 3d secure reasons.

    Can you explain us why there are so many declined transactions so we can solve this problem?

    Hi @jkslo,

    Customers don’t even get an iframe from their bank to confirm the payment.

    Not all banks support 3DS and in those instances the iFrame for 3DS authentication won’t show. The Braintree plugin sends all of the required billing and shipping info (if shipping required) to Braintree for 3DS evaluation.

    Before using this plugin we used another plugin where there were no issues with declined transactions with 3d secure reasons.

    That could be for a lot of reasons, one being perhaps that solution didn’t actually send fraud data etc so it passed more suspicious payments. Just because another plugin doesn’t decline a particular transaction, that doesn’t mean it’s doing a better job.

    Can you explain us why there are so many declined transactions so we can solve this problem?

    I would actually reach out to Braintree support and ask them that question. They have access to log information that we do not and perhaps they can provide more details.
