    Dear Support!

    We provide a gateway discount for credit card payments. When someone chooses the credit card gateway, but the payment is not successful their order will go into the “Pending payment” status.

    In these cases we send out a payment link to the customer so they can try again to finish their order again.

    On this secondary order-pay page when the payment method is changed to COD, the discount is not removed.

    Is there any workaround for this, or do I have to develop a unique solution for this?

    Can you please let me know how you have set up the discount? If possible you can share screenshots of it. So, I can check and help you to resolve it.

    Thanks for getting back eventually…

    I use this module: Gateways Fees and Discounts Module Options

    All pre payment options (credit card, bank transfer) give a -990 HUF discount (which is equal to the postage fee).

    In the following test order I originally chose SimplePay credit card payment gateway, so I got the discount. But I failed with payment and my order status went into “Pending Payment”, so as a customer I would receive an email from the customer support to get help with my order and a payment link so I can try to finish my order again.

    Here is the payment link of this test order:
    Payment url
    (The discount is called “Ingyenes szállítás” and it has a value of -990).

    You will see 4 payment gateways and the last one is COD. When COD (the 4th payment option in the list) is selected the discount should go away, but it is not…

    I hope I was detailed enough for you to see the issue…

    I have checked this scenario with different payment methods and discounts and the discount is changing properly. If possible can you please confirm if there is an error showing in the console or you have any cache plugin? This could cause an issue.
