Gated Listings

  • Hi,

    We’re using this plugin on our site, SteeleSanDiegoHomes.com. We’ve seen a lot of websites “gate” their listings. In other words, they can only see the listings if they provide a first name, email, and/or phone number.

    Is there a functionality to gate listings? If not, would we be able to hire someone to code in this functionality?

  • Hello Gregg,

    It looks like you guys signed up for the trial version of our product. We actually have TWO different versions of this product:

    – dsIDXpress LITE
    – dsIDXpress PRO

    When you first activate the trial version, it automatically gives you the LITE version of the product. However, with our PRO version, you do have the ability to turn on “forced registration” which allows you to specify the number of listings you wish to allow your visitors to see -or- the number of searches you wish them to be able to perform BEFORE they are “forced” to sign up.

    So it sounds like you’d be interested most in purchasing the PRO version of our product.

    Additionally, I turned on the PRO version of the trial for you as well. You may need to click “activate” again to get it working properly. Once you do, you’ll see many more options listed under the IDX heading on the left of your WP admin area.

    Look for “General” under “IDX”.

    And in that area you’ll find a spot to edit the forced registration settings.
