I don’t have time to open a support ticket. I am busy and I needed to put a client site live from the development server. I could not find the Duplicator plugin I usually use so rather than taking the time to dig through my Downloads server for it or pull it from another WordPress site I figured hey, why not just use yours, it looks good? Well… all I want to do is migrate one website. I don’t care about “Pro” features if the basic free function does not work. I followed the same procedure as usual and it did not complete successfully, even after I confirmed that all db, ftp, etc. info was correct. So I just moved the site myself without a plugin. It was faster than opening a ticket and waiting for a response.
It’s like me going to the dealership because my car has a problem with the engine and them saying “but it has bluetooth!” well if the car does not drive then being able to talk on the phone while driving does me no good, right?
I do appreciate and understand the effort in developing a complex WordPress plugin and then providing it for free. However, if it’s in the official repository I expect it to work out of the box. Do further testing and fix any bugs and over time the positive reviews will come.
Second, if you are angry, calm down… you are coming off completely immature. Seriously… “Our plugin was successfully tested at most terrible hostings in the World!” how can you quantify this? There is no value in this statement! Both the server hosting the original WP site and the final destination of the site are running cPanel, the industry standard in web hosting. Everything else works on the server, so it’s your plugin that is the problem. WordPress was the latest version, and no other plugins were present. Once again, everything points to the plugin.
Why would I lie about this? How could it possibly benefit me to post a negative review of your plugin? I simply posted a review because I wanted to save other people time that might waste time trying to get it to work.
