Thank you for taking the time to share your honest opinion about Easy WP SMTP. While Easy WP SMTP is now being managed by new developers, we have not removed any functionality that was already in Easy WP SMTP.
We have only added/improved features. The default SMTP server connection fields can be found under the Other SMTP mailer section, Email tests can be performed via the “Send a test” or “Tools” menu items as shown here.
Lastly, email logging was not a feature available in the previous version of Easy WP SMTP. That feature was added to the Pro version after we had started updating Easy WP SMTP. I can only imagine you may have been using a different logging plugin like WP Mail Logging perhaps (which you can still use as a means to log your emails).
We hope that this helps to restore your faith in Easy WP SMTP, because it is still a reliable SMTP plugin and we will continue to improve it over time.
