Gap between time/date and summary/excerpt

Hi,
I want to increase the gap/ spacing between the date and the post excerpt.So far I have tried to add padding-bottom to .rpwe-time and padding-top to .rpwe-summary. I have also tried to add padding.
None of these work. What am I missing?
PS: Of course, I have unchecked ‘use default style’
