Gantry 4.0.6 throws Fatal error: Call to a member function

I have not been able to get Gantry 4.0.6 to work at all on my WordPress 3.5.1 it throws Fatal error: Call to a member function. Is there a fix for this at all? I have uninstalled nearly all plugins but its getting a little hard to diagnose on my own and I would appreciate anyones help.
Incidentaly I also use Gantry on Joomla and have a similar error when ever I edit my website, requiring me to reinstall Gantry each time to correct it.
I love Gantry’s easy to use template…..when it works!!!
