    Hi,

I’m hoping to use GamiPressI and GamiPress + Amelia Add-on to create a loyalty scheme for our future customers. So that when their customers book they are awarded a coupon for one free haircut.

However, I have the following questions….

    1. How do we deduct points if an Amelia Customer cancels their appointment/event OR an Amelia Employee/Manager Rejects/Cancels the customers appointment ahead of time. Can you explain how this could work?

(If it isn’t possible could you kindly add a new “When” trigger that lets us select “Appointment was rejected…” or “Appointment was cancelled…”? That way we can deduct awarded points and in the email it can explain why the point was deducted.)

    1. Where do points get displayed within Amelia? I don’t see any mention of points in the booking widget (I’m using the widget titled “Step-by-Step Booking Form 2.0”) or the my account customer panel. Also, no points are shown in Amelia > Customers. Are there GamiPress shortcodes we need to add to the page so Amelia Customers can see their points once they login via the Customer Panel?

(I can see my auto points count up as a customer books appointments, just importantly there is no mention of this in their Amelia account panel or when they complete a booking.)

    1. How can Amelia Customers redeem their points for a free haircut. Let’s say you need to book and pay for 10 appointments and your 11th appointment is free. How do we set that up? Which add-ons, if any, do we need?

I look forward to hearing from you regarding the above.

    Oliver

  • Hi @nolabelstudios !

I would be more than happy to assist you today.

First of all, I would like to explain that GamiPress works by rewarding users for interacting with your website with points, achievements and rankings.

Previously a series of events are defined (requirements that the user has to complete), these events are defined as points, ranks and achievements.

Once these events are completed, then the user gets points, ranks or achievements, for example:

    • User comments on a post, then earns 100 points.
    • The user visits a specific page, then earns Achievement A.
    • The user books an appointment, then earns Rank 2.

I can give you some of our highlights pages:

    What is GamiPress: https://gamipress.com/docs/getting-started/what-is-gamipress/

    How to set points: https://gamipress.com/docs/tutorials/creating-a-points-type/
    How to set achievements: https://gamipress.com/docs/tutorials/creating-an-achievement-type/
    How to set ranks: https://gamipress.com/docs/tutorials/creating-a-rank-type/

1- Sorry but we currently do not have any event that allows points to be deducted if an Amelia customer cancels their appointment/event or an Amelia employee rejects/cancels the customer’s appointment.

But we add your suggestion to study and develop it in the future.

2- The points earned by the user for completing the events available for Amelia are awarded by GamiPress, so those points have to be displayed on your WordPress pages/post.

You can use blocks, shortcodes or widgets to display these points. https://gamipress.com/docs/

But it is not possible to display them in Amelia.

3- In this case you can use Points Cards add-on, this add-on allows your users to create points cards to redeem them in physical stores.

In this link you will find the documentation where we explain how it works. https://gamipress.com/add-ons/gamipress-points-cards/

    Hope it helps!
